Desert


I listened to the radio and Karima El-Mahrough alias "Ruby", when asked about the sex scandal with the former Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi, answered something like: الجمل دائما يرى سنام شقيقه ولكنه لم بلده, that means: "The camel always sees the hump of his brother but never his own." "That", she said, "is a proverb from my home country Morocco!"

Honoré de Balzac

Normally, I use my soft woodless graphite pencils only for my nude drawings to emphasize the line drawing before applying the watercolor. When I portrait someone, I just do a thin line drawing that you nearly cannot see anymore on the finished watercolor painting. So here I changed my habit and did a slightly different portrait using my 2B woodless graphite pencil.
